HOW TO GET THERE
So first things first, how exactly do you get there. I booked with hotels.com and saved a couple hundred dollars by buying package. We flew there on American Airlines and flew back on Jet Blue. Only a one hour layover in Miami Airport which was actually much needed because we got lost and had to check back in lol. If I had time to do more research you probably can find a direct flight but most flights you'll stop somewhere in Florida. Flying back we were on Jet Blue, which was my first time flying with them and it was pretty good, I loved that all the seats had extra leg room and that I didn't have to pay extra or hope to get put in an exit row seat lol.
Now when you arrive, be sure to get a picture when you are flying over the island, ...
Every year my mom and I travel for Christmas. Being Northerners, we try to get as furthest away from the cold weather as possible. This year we couldn't go too far, for a while it's just been my mom and I but as you all know there's been a new addition to the family, my pup Biggie. So where do you find tropical like weather close by, you guessed it Florida. So my mom flew from Michigan and Biggie and I flew from New York and we spent the holiday together in Miami.
We both flew into Fort Lauderdale, it's a great way to save money on flights, especially if you book last minute. The uber ride to Maimi was only about 25 minutes and the cost was around $30. We ended up saving over $200 by not flying directly into Miami. We stayed at the Mondrian, it has beautiful decor ...
Miami I swear you seem to amaze me every trip. Every time I think I know everything there is to know about you I find something new to love. Miami is like that one guy you cannot figure out. You have so much fun when you are with him but you can't quite tie him down lol. That to me is Miami in a nutshell. I headed down Miami to experience Art Basel for the second time. It's a week long experience of fashion, food, music, and of course works of arts. Definitely a trip worthwhile. Here's a very small glimpse of Art Basel through my heels...

Oh Cape Town you are a gem indeed. I had no idea what was in store for my visit to this beautiful place but I was pleasantly surprised. Cape Town turned out to be an amazing island paradise. Surrounded by beautiful oceans and white sands, I was immediately in awe. Not to mention the beautiful people and the African hospitality was unparalleled. I highly recommend that if you are traveling to South Africa make Cape Town a stop it is a place you have to see to believe.

Where do I start. How do I began. This place ahhhh no words!!! Seriously, I never knew I could fall in love with a city. Everything about it is so rich and decadent, and sooooo much history behind everything. I was so inspired by so much I saw; the people, the buildings, even the food. There's a certain authenticity about Paris that I loved. Everything seem to be in its natural state untouched and unbothered. I loved that, it made me rethink a lot that I do in my life now. We can be influenced by so much in the world but it's important to keep our authenticity.
