Plaid Attack

by

Hey guys, I'm back from my mini break and I'm feeling great, focused, and refueled. Today's trend is an oldie but goody, plaid. Today's look is all about plaid, in fact, it's safe to say it's a plaid overload. Switching over to a new position at work, I've been forced to step up my suit game. Becuase I work in corporate and have a fashion blog, I wouldn't dare buy a suit I couldn't rock in both situations. So that's what lead me to this plaid beauty. Plaid trousers with a fitted plaid blazer, all from HM, just for fun I paired them with a pair of Louis Vuitton cowboy boots. I probably wouldn't wear this exact look to the office but I'm not afraid to come pretty darn close :-). As for another layering piece, I chose this fun trench from Asos. At the office, I think a nice pair of pumps would easily ...

Christmas in Miami 2017

by

Every year my mom and I travel for Christmas. Being Northerners, we try to get as furthest away from the cold weather as possible. This year we couldn't go too far, for a while it's just been my mom and I but as you all know there's been a new addition to the family, my pup Biggie. So where do you find tropical like weather close by, you guessed it Florida. So my mom flew from Michigan and Biggie and I flew from New York and we spent the holiday together in Miami. We both flew into Fort Lauderdale, it's a great way to save money on flights, especially if you book last minute. The uber ride to Maimi was only about 25 minutes and the cost was around $30. We ended up saving over $200 by not flying directly into Miami. We stayed at the Mondrian, it has beautiful decor ...

Fur Stole The Show

by

Living in New York, I've learned how to accessorize like a boss (on a budget of course lol). This look I stepped up my accessory game with a fabulous faux fur stole. This took the entire outfit to the next level, not to mention it actually kept me warm as well. Don't you just love functional pieces, it makes purchasing them a little easier when you know it actually has a purpose. This beauty I got from a friend's boutique called Muse and Melrose. What I love about boutiques is how unique the pieces are, and this stole is no exception. I paired it with a cute plaid romper I scored from Zara, then added my all time fav thigh high Stuart Weitzman boots and voila, accessory level on 1000 lol. Get your stole now!!! Happy shopping!!! Fabulous Faux Fur

by

Who doesn't love an all black ensemble, especially after adding faux fur into the mix. I am that girl who cannot let winter win, I wear dresses with my legs out until the very end lol. Nothing different with this look, this fur detailed sweater dress was swoon worthy and definitely worth freezing a little. I had a hat from a year ago, that seemed to be kindred spirits with the dress. Then I added a Louis boot and the look was complete. One trick to rocking dresses in cold weather is layers. Yes, my legs were out but I had on a  thermal and a cami underneath. Another trick is tights of course, which I very well would have worn had I not been running late for my shoot :-) All in all, black ensembles are already everything but next time add a little fur to your look and watch what happens. ...

Silver Puffer

by

You know it's winter when you see me in every color puffer coat imaginable. Blame the Detroit, Michigan in me but I love a good puffer coat and beanie. Pair that with a pair of heels I can actually walk in and don't hurt after 10 mins and I'm in business. Living in New York, you have to keep plenty of coats on deck and because they are not the most stylish piece of clothing, the color, fit, and style are pretty important. Count on H&M for your cute puffer coat needs. This season they carried plenty of colors and styles to choose from. As for the fit I went a size up because I love to layer underneath. This adorable beanie I got it from Amazon, I know right!! It's true, Amazon sells more then electronics they have a pretty large fashion selection as well. The boots are Saint ...

Glad Hatter

by

So this whole time I had no idea I was a hat girl. I recently cleaned out my closet to sell some things on Loved Labels and the rest to give away and I can't tell you how many hats I found lol. Well enough about my rant let's get into this look that wasn't officially complete until a hat was added. I first started with this sassy sheer dress from Zara. But I'm in NY so sheer doesn't really work well with the cold up here lol, so I decided to put jeans underneath. I paired this with my ever so faithful camel coat from Asos. On to the shoes I wore some lace-up booties from Shoeland. This site has the quality and trends you seek but it's so on budget, definitely a win-win. The last detail was a black and patterned fedora. Had fun with this look probably because ...

Physical Health x Mental Clarity x 2018 Goals

by

A new year is approaching and what better time to get your life in order. The best way to start the new year is to evaluate the last. Not to scrutinize or pick at the past, but to actually accept whatever it is and learn the lesson from it. I definitely had some high moments this year and gratefully not too many lows. This past year has been a year of grinding, realization, and growth. If you know anything about me by now, you know I'm a firm believer that physical health starts with having mental stamina. Having my health in a much better place this year, I was able to focus a lot on my emotional and mental state. Every year was the same, I'd learn several life lessons, but it wasn't often that I actually learn things about myself. This year I actively started to really get to know ...

Sweater Weather With Shein

by

Winter is here and it's time to layer up. If you're anything like me then you are all about your neutrals and will take two of anything that comes in black lol. With this look, I combined a lot of my favorite things. I love mixing fabrics and lengths, and of course colors. From the fringe of the Zara jacket to the lapel sweater from Shein underneath when layering I always try to have different lengths and textures coming together. The pops of color is a bonus as well, from the pattern on the fedora to Chanel mini handbag. Adding layers gives a look more character, and if that's not enough a pair of sassy thigh highs will definitely do the trick :-). Happy shopping!!! (outfit details below) Thank you for visiting. There is just something about olive. It's an unexpected color but it looks great on everyone, no matter the skin tone. Olive is a color that's almost always on trend. I'ts not a fall that has went passed with out this color popping up. This color is perfect for fall and in today's look perfect for pairing. I saw this great puffer coat and paired it with a olive baseball cap and a cable knit sweater dress. From there the look was almost complete, all I needed was shoes. And you guessed it they would have to be olive lol. Found these great fitted booties from ShoeLand. It's a great online store and they have every pair of shoes you'll ever need and at their prices you won't feel guilty for buying them all. Happy shopping!!!
