Pattern Party

IMG_6874 How fun is this combination? Pattern mixing is so on trend right now and I'm so on board. Ranging from polka dots, animal print, to beautiful plaid and florals, pattern mixing is an opporotunity to really have fun getting dressed. I think its a daring but very rewarding trend to try. Pattern mixing may at first sight seem difficult, but I think if you can find a combination you are comfortable with you'll invite this trend with open arms. When it comes to mixing patterns I like to think of it almost like you would for interior design, for example picking the wall color, accent patterns, themes, etc. That may seem like a lot of work for picking out your clothes lol but I swear it's not as hard as it sounds. Give it a shot guys I promise you won't regret it. Start by finding one piece either the top or the bottom, pick a pattern your comfortable with and stay in the color family when your looking for the second piece. Those simple steps are a great start, also I'd go minimal on the shoes and accessories don't get too busy, getting busy lol. This little darling set I'm wearing here is from Nordstrom. Now I have to be honest this set actually was already put together, so I did cheat a little lol. It was just too darling too pass up not to mention the price this look was a steal. I paired it with some suede Miu Miu pumps to add in a bold color and brought along my classic Chanel flap bag. Had a blast playing with patterns hope you enjoy. IMG_6849IMG_6862 What I love most about this look is yes this ensemble is adorable together but I can so see myself wearing either of the pieces separately. I always suggest to buy pieces that you can several different ways get more bang for your buck. The patterns are completely opposite but the colors still come together and that is really the art of pattern mixing. Going in two different directions but bringing it all together in the end. IMG_6968 Show stoppers are the best way to describe these shoes and even the designer. Miu Miu always pays close attention to details and quality. The bold color is just amazing but it doesn't stop their you turn the peep toe around and look at these stones, just gorgeous. On top of that these are actually super comfy. These are sold out in most stores but luckily Miu Miu always makes some variation of rhinestones in their shoes, so shop around the prices are affordable and you have a good shot of finding a pair of your own on sale. Why didn’t you say who makes the outfit, instead of telling us the store?

I did mention who makes the outfit, its at the very bottom. A brand called Sister Jane, it’s one of Nordstrom’s exclusive designers. Thanks for visiting.
